AIGA Leadership Conference Recap

Last week I was incredibly fortunate to be invited to attend the AIGA Leadership Retreat, thanks to Julie Anixter and my friends at MAGA Design. I have partnered with MAGA on several projects, and they are big sponsors and supporters of AIGA at a local and national level. Julie, who is the newly appointed Executive Director of AIGA and a former MAGAteer asked that I attend the conference to help capture the content of the discussions and do some ethnographic research on what more AIGA can do for it's members. She has really big goals to make an already amazing organization even greater, and it is an honor to be a part of the conversation. My first endeavor as founder of Catherine Madden LLC was a job I got through Kelvy Bird and her partnership, dPict. Kelvy saw me do some digital recording at the IFVP conference, and when the MIT Age Lab asked her to provide the same sort of service at their annual member meeting, she thought I would be a great fit.
