Last week I attended my favorite conference, Tapestry, for data storytelling. This is my third year running, and it's starting to feel like family reunion. Last year, I gave a short story presentation on the power of drawing in visual storytelling, which you can watch on the conference archive page. This was a particularly fun assignment because in addition to attending the conference and capturing the content of several presentations, I also created a marketing video and was interviewed for the organization’s podcast. Read MoreLast week I was incredibly fortunate to be invited to attend the AIGA Leadership Retreat, thanks to Julie Anixter and my friends at MAGA Design. I have partnered with MAGA on several projects, and they are big sponsors and supporters of AIGA at a local and national level. Julie, who is the newly appointed Executive Director of AIGA and a former MAGAteer asked that I attend the conference to help capture the content of the discussions and do some ethnographic research on what more AIGA can do for it's members. She has really big goals to make an already amazing organization even greater, and it is an honor to be a part of the conversation.
